James Frank Hanson, 82, of Lake Nebagamon and Harlington Texas, passed away April 9, 2013.
Jim drove truck for over 60 years, driving gas trucks, milk trucks and moving vans. He was bonded for driving for the U.S. mail. He drove for local contractor Grube in Poplar, Wis. Jim was a member of the Teamsters. He was very talented in building rock walls, doing menza puzzles, playing cards, bingo and pool.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Luella Hanson and sister Beverly Arras.
Jim is survived by his sons Mike Hanson and James Jr. (Brenda); daughter, Michelle Robillard (Bob); nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren all of Duluth; sister, Joanne Olson of Duluth; brothers, Ron (Gloria) Hanson of Eau Claire, Wis., Bill Doyle of Idaho and Frank (Karen) Hanson of Duluth; many nieces and nephews.
He will be missed greatly by his soul mate Carole Glenn and her family.
A special thanks to the staff at Golden Living Center Superior for their wonderful care.
SERVICE: 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Sunrise Cemetery.
