James "Jim" Edward Johnson, 62, of LittleFork, Minn., died Feb. 26, 2013.
Born Dec. 4, 1950 in Minneapolis, he was the son of the late Walter Johnson and Marion (Holmlund) Johnson.
Jim graduated from Cooper High School in New Hope, Minn., in 1969. After high school he became a military police officer in the Army from 1969 to 1972 and served one year in Vietnam. After an honorable discharge from the Army he became a police officer serving Duluth. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and carpentry.
He is survived by four children Jodi Gelineu, Mark Johnson, Kevin Johnson, and Cooper Johnson; one step daughter Katie Kofed; two grand children Jake Gelineu, and Carly Gelineu; three siblings Rick Johnson, Jinx Johnson, and Beverly Flynn, and good fried Pam Johnson.
PRIVATE FAMILY MEMORIAL SERVICE: was held March 2, 2013 in Elk River, Minn. A public memorial service will be held on April 3, 2013 at Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:45 a.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with full Military honors.
