Rita Mary Silvers, 89, died Monday, March 18 in St. Mary’s Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 11, 1923 in Duluth to Bernard and Mary Ann (Gagne) Bijold.
Rita was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter and son Bradley.
Survivors include daughters Katherine (Ron) Johnson of Grand Rapids, Minn., and Charlene (Geoff) (Ammerman) McConnell of Duluth; son Kevin (Lenora) of Duluth; grandchildren, Mark McConnell, Jennifer Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Erik Johnson, Bradley Silvers, Travis Silvers and Corey Lehman.
VISITATION: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013 in Dougherty Funeral Home with wake prayers at 6 p.m. and continuing from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 22, 2013 in Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 2801 E. 4th Street. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd Street, (218) 727-3555.
