Roger E. Abrahamson, 80, of Cloquet, passed away Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Sunnyside Health Care.
Roger E. Abrahamson, 80, of Cloquet, passed away Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Sunnyside Health Care.
He was born Feb. 20, 1933 in Cloquet to Edwin and Hilda (Fredrickson) Abrahamson.
He graduated from Cloquet High School in 1952. Roger served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He worked at the Potlatch Paper Co., the Duluth News Tribune and as a Mental Health Director for the Onamia Indian Reservation.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty (Fran) Esson; one half-brother, Archie Fredrickson; and a son-in-law, Ronald Johnson.
He is survived by one son, Jim (Carol DeVoll) Abrahamson of Cloquet; one daughter, Paula (Doug Dianoski) Johnson of Cloquet; his former wife, Lillian Abrahamson of Cloquet; one brother, Robert "Bob" Abrahamson of Minneapolis; five grandchildren, Chad, Eric, Tayler, Trent and Ryan; and several nieces and nephews.
