Walter “Bubba” Chalberg, Jr. 47 of Barnum died Thursday, March 14, 2013 in his home with his loving family by his side.
Walter “Bubba” Chalberg, Jr., 47 of Barnum died Thursday, March 14, 2013 in his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born August 6, 1965 in Duluth to Walter and Janet Chalberg. He graduated from Barnum High School in 1983. On August 15, 1992 he married Nicole Mitchell in Barnum.
Bubba worked as a truck driver for Northland Construction and he helped out his friend Wes Jones at Built Right in Two Harbors. He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, going to car shows, taking family trips, football, basketball, and racing.
Bubba was preceded in death by his father, Walter Sr.; brothers, Frank Arnold and James Arthur; and cousins, Franklin Chalberg Jr. and Jaymi Marie Wendt.
He is survived and will be sadly missed by his wife, Nicole; daughters, Rebecca Chalberg of Moose Lake and Amanda Mitchell of Barnum; his son, Luke of Barnum; his mother, Janet Chalberg, of Cloquet; sisters, Carla (Bob) Olson and Lynnette Chalberg; sister-in-law, Cheryl Mitchell Swor; nieces Katie Swor, Amber and Deserai Olson; great nephew, Cade Peterson; special friends Jeff and Lori Hunter, HB Hyland, John and DeAnn Davich, Wes and Laurie Jones, Gary and Teri Beckwith, Bruce Hyland, and the Wendt family; and the family canine pet, Melanie
VISITATION: Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet.
