Brian "BP" Paarni, 60, passed away in his home Wednesday March 12, 2013.
Brian "BP" Paarni, 60, passed away in his home Wednesday March 12, 2013.
He was a lifelong resident of Cloquet and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1970.
Brian worked for the Potlatch/Saapi Fine Paper mill for 30 plus years and had worked in the pulp mill fiber line most recently. He was an active member of the USW Local Union No. 1163 and was member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Brian served in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller from 1978-82.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Faye Paarni.
He is survived by his sisters Gayl (Floyd) Illikainen and Clare (Todd) Proulx; and six nieces and nephews.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday March 16, 2013 in Nelson Funeral Care. A time of fellowship and lunch will follow at the Cloquet Labor Temple. The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care to assist them with arrangements. See the online guestbook at www.nelsonfuneralcare.net
