Debbie Lynn Brutger, 57, of Duluth, died unexpectedly, Monday, March 11, 2013 at her home.

Debbie Lynn Brutger, 57, of Duluth, died unexpectedly, Monday, March 11, 2013 at her home.

She was born July 24, 1955 in Cornwall, N.Y., to Francis Hand and Eleanor Sellers.

She was a high school graduate and continued her education and attained her degree in accounting.

Debbie was employed at D.M.&I.R. for 17 years as an office clerk and was currently employed as the office manager for Phil's Garage Door Service in Duluth.

Debbie's passion was her Great Danes which she loved dearly. She was a very kind person that would give to others in time of need. Debbie enjoyed cooking for special events and was famous for her baked beans.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her son, Luke Bennett of Duluth; her daughter, Erica Barrow of Morrison, Colo.; her sisters; numerous nieces and nephews and her special friends, Terry and Jon Bakke of Duluth.

GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the Dougherty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date.

Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St.

I am sorry that I could not make the funeral; my condolences to the entire family. I have fond memories of our bowling team from years ago...we girls sure did have some fun and a lot of laughs! ~Carla (Bennett) Holm
