Norman L. Rick, 87, of St. Cloud and formerly of Duluth, who passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids

Norman was born on Dec. 13, 1925 in Outlook, Montana to Joseph and Margaret (Bauer) Rick.

He served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Beverly Schwerin in 1946. Norman continued his education and achieved his Degree in Engineering and ultimately working for the UMD where he worked until his retirement. He married Signe Pederson in 1982. Norman moved to the St. Cloud area to be closer to his family in 2008. Norman was a member of the Duluth Elk's Lodge 133.

Norman enjoyed wood working, fishing, camping, and in his retirement years traveling to where it was warm. He especially treasured all the time spent with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; both wives, Beverly in 1980 and Signe in 2009; daughter, Mary Finn; brothers, Paul and Bob; and step-son Larry.

Norman is survived by his children, Elizabeth (David) Bowers, Brian (Alison), Bruce (Joanne), Barbara (Wayne) VonOlnhausen, Diane Rick, Adrian (Kathy); 16 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-children, Jim, Judy, Gary, Michael and their families.

SERVICE: 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 in the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Reverend Gerald Dalseth will officiate. Burial with Military honors will be held at 12 Noon on Friday at Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth. Family and friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday in the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
