Constance "Connie" V. Mattson, 91, of Cloquet, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Sunnyside Health Care.
She was born Nov. 5, 1921 in Cloquet.
She had worked as a telephone operator and also at Diamond Match Mill. Connie was very active with the DFL Party in Cloquet and helped with the Labor Day Dinner at the Labor Temple.
She was an active member of the Eagles Club Auxiliary, Moose Club Auxiliary and the Hebert-Kennedy VFW Post Auxiliary. Connie also enjoyed crafts, especially knitting and crocheting.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Chris) Wagner; four grandchildren, Amy Pollard, Heather Rand, Susan Burbank, and Christopher Wagner Jr., and 12 great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 10 .am. Monday, March 11, 2013 until the 11 a.m. memorial service in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet, followed with a luncheon in the church social hall. Memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet to assist them with arrangements.
