Hi Ron (or, and forgive me for this, Mishie!) I was saddened by the news of your mom's death. My sister Barb (Sister Judine Mayerle) sent the obituary from the paper and my brother Jim Mayerle wrote about the activites, people, etc on the day of her funeral. I liked your parents ever so much! Your Dad was always beside me (or you!) when marching in a parade OR both of your parents were at the Bovey Band's Ice Cream Socials on Monday nights in the summer. Here's something sweet/cute I vividly recall: one summer, we neighborhood girls at the age of 8 or 9, would use crayons to color paper doilies. We would then get dressed up in our mom's clothes and go house to house on our street (8th Avenue) trying to sell them! The women were wonderful to us, inviting us in for "tea" and cookies and carrying on conversations as though we were adults. What a giggle we must have given them. Your mom was one of those upon whose door we knocked. I can still see her smiling face - and Soup's as well. Please know that I share your sorrow!
