We met June in the 80's at her cabin on Lake Nichols. We lived across the road and shared many wonderful times with her at the cabin. She was a great neighbor, she shared her dock with our family where we swam, fished and parked our pontoon for many years. We would help her with raking leaves in the fall and connecting her water in the spring and fall. When she had to sell and leave it was hard to see her go. The sign June's Backacre still remains on her garage. Our family will always have fond memories of June. Chuck & Elaine Davidson

June...so many wonderful Lake Nichols memories included you. You were like a grandmother to us and you always held a special place at our family table. I remember walking over to swim at your place. As we walked by, I would look up at your window and you would say, "Are ya going swimming? Ok, I will go sit up in the porch and watch you." As we grew older and moved away, I really looked forward to coming home to visit with you and loved having my own kids swim at your place. When you sold the place, it never was quite the same. I haven't seen you in years...I always think of you and will miss your smile and fiesty attitude. June's Backacre will forever in my mind, be a place where happiness & good times were always welcome.
