JEROME M. "JERRY" FALK

Jerome M. “Jerry” Falk, 64, of Duluth died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, while at Bethesda Hospital, St. Paul, surrounded by his loving family.

Jerome M. “Jerry” Falk, 64, of Duluth died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, while at Bethesda Hospital, St. Paul, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Oct. 25, 1948 in Minneapolis to Math and Lucille Falk.

On Aug. 8, 1992 Jerry married Karen Monsaas.

Jerry retired in 2010 from Superwood (Georgia Pacific) after37 years. He was active in his local union for a good part of his working life.

Jerry enjoyed playing and listening to music, fishing with friends and family gatherings. He mostly enjoyed but sometimes hated remodeling his home. Jerry discovered the joy of motorcycling later in life. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Thorne and an infant brother, Larry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Karen; children, Tina (Martin) Smith of Superior, Kenneth (Mistyann) and Mathew (Jennifer) all of Cloquet; 12 grandchildren, Brittany, Zabrina, Courtney, Katelynn, Hailie, Tyler, Isabella, Olivia, Lillianna, Austin, Brayden and Serenity; two great-grandchildren, Koa and Zander; six brothers and sisters, Judi (Doug) Mehr of Cushing, Minn., JoAnn (Elisha) Bowling and Linda Falk all of Edinburgh, Ind., Larry (Susan) of St. Cloud, Minn., Monica (Peter) Sikio of Duluth and Karin (Bruce) Miller-Fox of Spring, Texas; many loving nieces, nephews and good friends; and his dog, Bridget.

The family extends a special thank you to the Infusion and Radiology Staff at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, the nursing staff and physicians on 4D (Surgical Unit) at UMMC, Minneapolis and the nursing staff and physicians at Bethesda Rehabilitation Hospital in St. Paul.

GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, 624-5200.

To the family of Jerry, I worked with Jerry at Super Wood and I had to say Jerry always wore a great smile and always offered a friendly hello.Super Wood was a different kind of place to work but Jerry always made the shift worth while,I will miss his great sense of humor,rest in peace my friend we will all miss you.Your friend and co worker, Mark E.
