I was saddened to learn of Uncle Phil's passing from this life but rejoice that he has met his Lord and Savior and is in the company of many faithful friends and family that have gone on before him. Our prayers are with you Steve, Johnnie, Wendy and family and especially Ruthie in the days to come. I have fond memories of Uncle Phil playing the accordion, sing alongs in Two Harbors and great family time at the cabin on Lake Superior. What a privilege to have faithful parents to lead the way and what a legacy they have left! Love and Prayers, Linda (Sjoblom) and Dave Blankenship Midland, TX (for now)

Steve and family -- Lynette and I extend our sympathy to you at this sad time in your lives. Phil was a great husband, father, and person. He was always cheerful, humorous, and slow to speak, but when he did speak he usually had something important to say, and we know he'd be happiest knowing that he was to be laid to rest close by to his beloved Larsmont lakeshore.
