Robert Thomas Davis, 62, of Duluth and Hermantown, joined his loving family Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at home supported by family, friends and pets.
Robert Thomas Davis, 62, of Duluth and Hermantown, joined his loving family Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at home supported by family, friends and pets.
He was born in Duluth on Jan. 3, 1951 to Clifford and Laura (Maki) Davis.
Bob was a graduate of Hermantown High School. He worked for the City of Duluth, in Animal Control, for 25 years, retiring in 2008.
Bob was a very generous man, always lending a helping hand to others. He was very creative, especially in woodworking. Bob was committed to doing foster care for homeless animals, extending himself endlessly.
He was preceded in death by his father and numerous pets.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Debbie; many dear pets; two step-children, Lesley (John) Whitebird and Lynn (Duane Bushell) Novoselac; three grandchildren, Michael, Alyssa and Dustin; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Ryder and Jensen; his mother; eight sisters, Darlene Koski, Bette Grussendorf, Marie Goff, Susanne Soderburg, Bonnie Ethun, Katie Jones, Barbara Brown and Laura Johnson; four brothers, Clifford “Skip”, Rick, Randy and Dennis; many other caring, thoughtful relatives, friends and neighbors.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Friday, Feb. 22, in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, 624-5200.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to any Humane Society.

It is sunday and i just now heard about Bob's passing.I am so sorry for your loss .Bob was a good man. ALways willing to help those who needed it and never expecting anything in return His love for animals.. his big heart and loyalty to friends and family will never be forgotten.
