Jerry H. Udesen, 71, of New Brighton passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27 in his sleep.
Jerry H. Udesen, 71, of New Brighton passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27 in his sleep.
Jerry was the only son of Harold and Shirley Udesen.
He spent his childhood in Duluth and played football and hockey at UMD. He earned his law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1967.
Jerry loved work and travel but the real joys of his life were his wife Jean, his children, his grandchildren and fly fishing. He had a gift for making people feel at home and for telling a story. His wit, warmth, humor and hugs will be missed by many.
Jerry is survived by his wife Jean; his son Josh (Amy); his daughters Jill (Andy) Koenig and Britt Udesen; as well as his grandchildren Riley Koenig and Sydney Udesen; his sister-in-law Jill Burkland; his brother-in-law Bruce Burkland and his stepbrother Scott Buchanan.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 in UCC New Brighton, 1000 Long Lake Road, New Brighton.
Memorials in Jerry’s name can be made to UCC New Brighton Social Justice & Outreach Committee or North Shore Steelhead Association.

This is very sad.. Jerry and I were friends and cohorts at Jeno's Inc..forty years ago. I considered him a dear friend..he was everything mentioned in his final notice and more. A truly charming and wonderful guy. He helped me with the legal work in the adoption of one of my children.. I loved the guy! This has to be devastating for his family..and only time will help.
