Kristina "Krispy" Peterson lost her two year fight with a brain stem tumor on Jan. 27, 2013.

Kris was born and raised in Two Harbors, Minn., by Robert "Meatball" and Jessie Carlson.

She graduated from Two Harbors High School. Kris married Bruce Peterson on June 6, 1981. After their two sons went off to college Kris went back to school to become an EEG Tech at the Duluth Clinic. Kris had many interests and hobbies. She was a rollerblader, knitter, crocheter and loved to quilt. She also enjoyed traveling to the west coast and southwest deserts and frequented many car shows in the summer.

Kris was preceded in death by her grandmother Carrie Carlson and her mother Jessie Carlson, both of Two Harbors.

She is survived by her dad Meatball of Two Harbors; husband Bruce of Duluth; son Justin (Susan) Fridley; son Jeremy (Jessica) St. Louis Park; her sister Kim (Bruce) Ingleside, Ill.; and brother Bill (Philomenia) Two Harbors.

The family would like to thank all of Kris' friends, medical staff, doctors and especially St. Mary's hospice, for making Krispy's last days more peaceful.

VISITATION: 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in The Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth. A Celebration of Life will follow at Clyde Iron Works, 2920 W Michigan St. Duluth, from 5 to 8 p.m.
