Sheila H. Maki, 69, of Esko died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 with her loving family by her side.
She was born Aug. 17, 1943 in Cloquet to Rudolph and Saima Paarni.
She graduated from Cloquet High School in 1961. Sheila married Sam Maki in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cloquet in October of 1963. Sheila retired from Sappi Fine Papers Incorporated in 2003.
Sheila was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; husband Sam; and brothers, Roger, Marvin and Delbert Paarni.
Survivors include her children, Trisha (Tony) Wallin of Bullhead, Ariz., Dan Maki of Duluth, and Lisa (Jeff) Erikson of Duluth; grandsons, Jason (Erin) Erikson of Duluth, Jon (Blayke Lundberg) Macey of Duluth; granddaughter, Ellie Grace Erikson of Duluth; great granddaughter, Georgia Lauren Macey of Duluth; sister, Ramona (Norman) Green of Cloquet; sister-in-law, Ardith Paarni of Escanaba, Mich.; extended family, friends and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 10 until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Esko. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the Family Life Center following the service. Inurnment will be at West Branch Cemetery, Kettle River.
