Betty Lou Roy Morada, 73, of Cloquet, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, in Cloquet. She was born Nov. 23, 1939, in Lyons Point, LA, the daughter of Treville Sr., and Gloria Roy. She married Andy Morada on May 26, 1962.

Betty was the wife of a 20-year Navy Vietnam veteran and the mother to a son who is a Desert Storm combat veteran. She traveled extensively while Andy was in the service. Betty loved to read and especially enjoyed Cajun food, music and speaking French.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty, a loving wife of 50 years, is survived by her husband, Andy, of Cloquet; son, Ric (Tracy) of Cloquet; daughter, Luisa (Daniel) Apacible of San Diego; six grandchildren, Ashley, Carly, and Sebastian Morada, and Katrina, Kaylani and Daniel Apacible; one great-grandson, Elijah Anderson, and a brother, Treville Roy, Jr. of Morse, LA.

Visitation: 5–7 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 6:30, Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. Private family services will be held. To leave an online tribute, see www.atkinsnorthlandfuneralhome.com.
