William (Billy) A. Wood, Jr., 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends IN St. Mary's Hospital on Jan. 14, 2013.
Billy was born on June 27, 1949 in Duluth to Beverly and William Wood, Sr. Bill was a lifelong resident of Duluth. He owned and operated Mother-in-Laws Cleaning and Floor Care for over 25 years. Billy enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He loved fishing and feeding and watching the deer in his back yard.
Billy was preceded in death by his second wife of over 25 years, Barbara; and his grandson Aaron Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, June; and her two sons; two daughters, Marie (Alan) Aakre and their children Emily, Brayden, and Brockton; Nadine (Bryan) Hawkins and their children Logan, Joslynn, Jazmine, Cody, Jariden, and Jordan; Stepchildren Briana Anderson of Coleraine, Minn; Belle (Steve) Littler and Lindy Elswick of Duluth; and two granddaughters, Brynn Kuehn and Bailey Mason. He is also survived by his parents, Bev and Bill, Sr.; his sisters Sandy (Phillip) Fulkerson, Debbie (Jon) Hammestrom, Patricia (Dale) Luoma, and Joyce (Mark) Frye all of Shawnee, Ok; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
SERVICE: Was held for Billy at The River Church in Duluth on Thursday, January 17th and was officiated by Pastor Rob Dean.
Billy will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends. Rest in peace till we all meet again someday.
