Dwaine W. “Dewey” Roberts, 61, rural Pengilly, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 in the Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids.
Dwaine W. “Dewey” Roberts, 61, rural Pengilly, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 in the Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids.
Born July 11, 1951 in Hibbing, he was the son of Don A. and Margaret (Brennan) Roberts.
A lifelong Pengilly resident, he was a 1970 Nashwauk High School graduate, attended Itasca Community College, and had been a welder for Temco Engineering.
Dwaine had been a member of St. Kevin’s Catholic Church of Pengilly and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and taking his nephew Tyler to baseball games.
His father, Don Roberts and brothers, Don, Doug, and his twin, Dennis preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret; sisters, Pam (Ken Kalmi) Roberts and Patty Goss, both of Pengilly, and Peggy (Ron) Desizlets of Guthrie, Minn.; brothers, David of Pengilly, and Daniel of Lakeville, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Sandy Roberts of Duluth and Carol Roberts of Elk River, Minn.; nephews, Tyler, Paul, Sheldon, and Neil Roberts and Sam and Jamie Goss, and his special friend, Susie Patterson.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 in St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church, Nashwauk. Interment will be at the Nashwauk Cemetery. To leave an online condolence message, please go to petersonfuneralchapelofcoleraine.com.
