STELLA L. LINDBERG

Stella L. Lindberg, 93, of Duluth, died on Wednesday Jan. 2, 2013 in Essentia Health, St. Mary's Hospital.

Stella L. Lindberg, 93, of Duluth, died on Wednesday Jan. 2, 2013 in Essentia Health, St. Mary's Hospital.

She was born in Fosston, Minn., on March 7, 1919 to Hans and Anna Smelver.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She worked at the Arlington Home as a Cook. Stella loved to garden, knit and crochet; she will be remembered as a wonderful cook and baker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford; daughter Sharon LePage; a great-granddaughter Faith Bennett; and sisters Caroline Lenes and Dora Emerson.

She is survived by her daughters Lavonne (Don) Johnson of Eveleth, Minn., Lola (Tom) Sibcy of Pueblo, Colo., and Lois (Douglas) Hoffbauer of Proctor, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, and sister Wilma Pingatore of Wisconsin.

VISITATION: 1 p.m. Sunday Jan. 13, 2013 until the 2 p.m. Funeral Service in Sunrise Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunrise Memorial Park. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Home.

My condolences to all of the Cliff and Stella Lindberg family members. I was happy to have visited with Stella last summer when nI was home, always enjoyed talking to her. May God bless all of you. Pete Lenes
