Hazel was a neighbor and good friend of my late mother (Lucille Pearson) for many years. It was Hazel who took my mom to the hospital the day mother passed away and who was always her close and trusted friend. I called her and wished her a happy 100th birthday last year, and she was just as sharp and witty as always and still drove herself everywhere. She was a joy to know and will be sadly missed.
