DELIA JOHNSON VUKOVICH

Delia Johnson Vukovich, age 93 of Duluth, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, in Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Delia Johnson Vukovich, 93, of Duluth, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, in Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Delia Johnson was born April 28, 1919, in Duluth, the daughter of Erick Evald and Hilda Amanda (Anderson) Johnson.

She grew up in Duluth, graduated from Denfeld High School, and attended Duluth Business College. Delia married Clarence Joseph Vukovich Oct. 19, 1946, in Duluth. They owned and operated C.J. Vukovich Painting Co. for more than 30 years.

Delia was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary and enjoyed flower gardening, singing, opera, classical literature, animals of all kinds, and hot chocolate.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; and brother, Earl E. Johnson.

Delia is survived by her children, Joan (Jim) Lodahl and Paul M. (Linda) Vukovich, both of Duluth.

VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. Second St., Duluth. Mass of Christian burial:

11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E. Fourth St., Duluth.

Entombment at Calvary Cemetery, Duluth.
