Paul Franklin Otis Jr. 94, of Duluth passed away Sunday Dec. 23, 2012 in his home from ALS.

Paul Franklin Otis Jr., 94, of Duluth passed away Sunday Dec. 23, 2012 in his home from ALS.

Paul was born Dec. 2, 1918 in Duluth to Paul Sr. and Margaret (Florada) Otis.

He lived in Duluth all his life. During World War II, Paul was a glider pilot and instructor. When Paul returned to Duluth from the war he and his father started Otis, Magie, Gustafson Insurance Agency.

He was an avid golfer and golfed until he was 93. Paul also curled, hunted and traveled. He enjoyed reading, hockey, football, and baseball.

He was preceded in death by parents and daughter Elizabeth.

Paul is survived by his wife of 48 years, Josephine; step daughters Patricia Doll and Mary Lou McCoy; son-in-law Ron Reuter; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of friends throughout the United States.

He will be greatly missed by all.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Lakeshore, 4002-4 London Rd.
