Carolyn E. Miller, 61, of Calvary Road, passed away Dec. 12, 2012 at Franciscan Health Center surrounded by her family, friends and co-workers following a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer.
Carolyn E. Miller, 61, of Calvary Road, passed away Dec. 12, 2012 at Franciscan Health Center surrounded by her family, friends and co-workers following a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer.
Carolyn was a lifelong Duluth resident, a 1969 graduate of Duluth Central High School and a graduate of the Duluth Vocational Technical School. She worked as a licensed practical nurse until her retirement.
Carolyn enjoyed many hobbies and loved sharing her talents with others. She enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking, scrapbooking, knitting and crocheting. She especially enjoyed hosting an all-night Christmas cookie baking party each year and loved decorating for the Christmas season.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, John; daughters, Erin of St. Joseph and Christal of Duluth: mother, Jo Gauthier; brother, Curtis (Kathy) Gauthier, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the hospice staff at St. Luke's Hospital and the staff at Franciscan Health Center for their quality care, compassion and kindness.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Franciscan Health Center. A full Celebration of Her Life will be held on May 4, 2013 in Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Duluth. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
