Florence “Flo” Lapcinski, 73, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly at St. Luke’s Hospital on Dec. 1, 2012.
Florence “Flo” Lapcinski, 73, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly at St. Luke’s Hospital on Dec. 1, 2012.
Flo was born in Duluth, on Aug. 8, 1939 to Adolph and Ethyl (Garvey) Lavigne.
She attended Carlton High School and graduated in 1957. She attended UMD for a couple of years before marrying Phillip Lapcinski in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Norton Park. Flo spent the next several years raising her family. Later on in life she worked as a CNA at Nopeming. She retired after 21 years of service. Flo was an avid Vikings and Twins fan even through the rough periods. She spent many years caring for her sister and lent a helping hand to anyone she could. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Phillip; her parents and infant son Charles.
Flo is survived by her three sons, James of Duluth, Darrell (Andrea) of Prescott, Wis., Jeffery (Robin) of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; six grandchildren, Christopher, Greta, Ian, Kieran, Ben and Reed; brother James (Jill) Lavigne of Birchwood, Wis.; sister Patricia Lavigne of Duluth as well as many other family members and friends.
VISITATION: 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 in Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel 4100 Grand Ave. with a reception following. Services entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota 218-624-5200
