CATHERINE "CASEY" HAGENAH

Catherine “Casey” Hagenah, 76 of Carlton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 in Inter Faith Care Center.

Catherine “Casey” Hagenah, 76 of Carlton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 in Inter Faith Care Center.

She was born Aug. 5, 1936 in Minneapolis to Henry and Bernice Hagenah.

Casey grew up in Cass Lake and graduated from Cass Lake High School in 1954. She moved to Minneapolis and worked at IDS. In 1962 she moved to Cloquet and worked at Conwed for more than 20 years, retiring in 1985. Since then she has been selling pull tabs.

Casey was an active member at St. Francis Catholic Church in Carlton and was active with the union while working at Conwed. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and gambling. Her greatest joy throughout her entire life came from raising her only son, Dan.

Casey was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Larson and Irene Feyder; brothers, Richard, Larry, Charles, John and Harry Hagenah; and a step grandson, Joshua Kolosky.

She is survived by and will be sadly missed by her son, Dan (Ruth) Hagenah of Cloquet; brother, Victor (Sharon) Hagenah of Anoka; sisters, Lucky Kirkpatrick of Cass Lake, Millie Wocash of St. Cloud, and Wanda (Dan) Chisom of North Carolina; and a step grandson, Jeremy Kolosky.

VISITATION AND DINNER: 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. The world is a little less bright today with this news. I'll miss you Casey. I'm so sorry Dan. Keep your head up man. She was a great lady and that is what everyone remembers. Just sorry I can't be there to pay my respects.
