Michael David Scinocca, 51, of Duluth, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth.

Michael David Scinocca, 51, of Duluth, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth.

Michael was born March 15, 1961, in Duluth, Minn., the son of Ronald and Carol (Tyo) Scinocca.

He grew up in Pike Lake and graduated from Proctor High School in 1979. He attended camera school and later worked for several different business in the Duluth area.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting agates, and spending time in the woods with his dogs. He was a member of a Fantasy Football League for over 25 years, Ducks Unlimited, and the NRA.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ron, stepmother, Carol, and brothers, Jim and Steve.

He is survived by his significant other, Lisa Liabraaten of Duluth; mother, Carol Zillmer of Duluth; brother, Ronald of Duluth; sister, Shelly (Tim) Nick of Duluth; two half-brothers, Todd Linskie and Doug Linskie, both of Duluth; half-sister, Linda Linskie of Duluth; nephews, Joseph and Jay Nick; niece, Katie Scinocca; and his beloved dogs, Hoss and Jayden, and his cat, Pacino.

Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St., Duluth, and 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Proctor. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Dough­erty Funeral Home, (218) 727-3555.
