Nicole "Cu Cu" (Sobczak) Garitano, 35, of Madison, Wis., formerly of Duluth, passed away Nov. 10, 2012.
Nicole graduated from Denfeld High School in 1996 where she was involved in basketball and softball. She was united in marriage to Elijah Garitano in 2005 and shared the joy of bringing two beautiful children into the world, while traveling and living in Japan and states throughout the United States, during her husband’s military career.
Nicole enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and her two little girls who were the joy of her life. She will be remembered for her amazing sense of humor, sense of adventure, contagious laugh, beautiful spirit and her loving heart. Nicole will be greatly missed by the many people her life has touched along life’s journey.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Sobczak and step father Vern Paetznick
Nicole is survived by her husband, Elijah; children, Ava and Olivia; mother, Janice Paetznick; brother, Shane Sobczak; Elijah’s parents, Susan and Lewis Wilson
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth. Visitation: two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth.
