Paul Carl Stanko, 81 of Two Harbors, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Ecumen Nursing Home.

Paul Carl Stanko, 81 of Two Harbors, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Ecumen Nursing Home.

Paul was born on March 4, 1931, in Blackduck, Minn.

He married Lydia Rose Shingler on May 7, 1955. He served in the United States Army for two years and did a tour of duty in Korea. He was retired from Reserve Mining Company. Paul enjoyed hunting, spending time at the hunting shack and with his grandchildren.

He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lydia; a son Michael; brothers Tom, Rudy, John and sister's Ann, Mary, Margaret, Helen and Narciss.

He is survived by his son, David (Jackie) Stanko; grandchildren Michael and Nicole; his brother Dan (Delores) Stanko and sister Dorothy Chovan, all of Minneapolis.

VISITATION: 11 a.m. until the 12 Noon funeral service on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Emmanual Lutheran Church, Two Harbors, Minn.

Arrangements entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota, Duluth.
