Dianne (Reynolds) Thovson, 63, of Davenport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012
Dianne was born on June 27, 1949 in Ashland, KY to James and Julianna Reynolds.
She grew up in Silver Bay, Minn., a place she loved and remembered fondly. She graduated from Bethel College in 1971 and married Allan Thovson on Sept. 14, 1973. She and her family moved to Davenport, Iowa in 1984.
Dianne's greatest joys in her life were her family. She was a loving and supportive mother who enjoyed encouraging her children in their various activities. Whether it was cheering at baseball, football, soccer, or volleyball games; helping with school projects and papers; or just listening and giving hugs, she was there and always willing to help. Dianne loved the beach, and cherished special trips to Belleair Beach, Fla.; Silver Bay, Minn.; and a special trip to Hawaii. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, and scrapbooking.
Dianne was thoughtful, generous, encouraging, and kind. She often sent special notes to those she loved or picked up the phone to offer support. She loved playing with all her grandchildren and bringing joy to others. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to honor her memory include her loving and devoted husband, Allan; her children and their families: Katie Thovson, Teresa Louw, Bailey Maberry (son, Tanner), Hannah Maberry (fiancé, Kyle Davis), Logan and Kyra Thovson; James and Katherine Thovson, Alexandra, Oliver, and Emmett Thovson; her brother, Roger Reynolds and his family; her loyal companion, Kobe; and a host of other extended family, including her parents-in-law, Sanford and Dorothy Thovson.
VISITATION: 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary, Davenport, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, a memorial for her grandchildren's college fund will be established. Online condolences and tributes may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.

To Diane's family. I did not know Diane personally, but I am sorry for your loss, may God give you all comfort and keep her memories alive! I am secretary at United Protestant Ch. in Silver Bay and have in the past been in communication with Diane as I was a good friend of her parents. My prayers are with you.
