Irene L. Maki, 80, of Superior, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at her residence.

Irene was born on Nov. 8, 1931 the daughter of Joseph and Teresa Eibon.
She was an RN and had worked at St. Mary’s Duluth for 30 years. She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King, a volunteer at Memory Lane and for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
Irene enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with all her grandkids. She also enjoyed the time spent with her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William E. Maki, Jr.; daughter, Marsha Maki; and brother, Joe Eibon.
Irene is survived by her children, Marilyn (Dan) Maki-Beetcher of Milwaukee, Bill (Anita) Maki of Superior, Mark (Sara) Maki of Houston, Texas and Melissa (Joe) Gudowski of Superior; grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer, Joe, Alyssa, Evan and Ava; one great-grandchild, Logan; brother, Robert (Ann) Eibon; and sister, Marion Dunphy.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in Cathedral of Christ the King Church. Fr. Leon Flaherty and Fr. Ronald Olson will concelebrate. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, memorial may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
