Dorothy M. “Dolly” Jensen, 82, of Hibbing, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at Guardian Angels Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing.
Dorothy M. “Dolly” Jensen, 82, of Hibbing, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at Guardian Angels Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing.
She was born Oct. 19, 1930 in Duluth.
Dolly was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church, enjoyed her monthly bridge club, and gave her heart and soul to her friends and family. Her talent of knitting and crocheting provided family and friends with many treasured gifts that that will be cherished forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee of 62 years and mother Margaret Patton.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Gary (Debi) Jensen of Chisholm, Minn., Sherie (Hank) Foehrenbacher of St. Cloud, Minn.; six grandchildren, Carrie (Joel) McDonald, Melissa (Paul) Rafferty, Tina (John) Simberg, Jamie (Kara) Foehrenbacher, Matt (Sarah) Foehrenbacher, and Megan Foehrenbacher; six great-grandchildren, Abbey and Ayden McDonald, Anna and Cal Rafferty, Jack Simberg, and Hadley Foehrenbacher; siblings, Richard Patton and Joy Olsen. Dolly was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and left a great impact on all of them.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing with Fr. Brian Lederer celebrating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service in the church on Monday. There will be a private family interment at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. Memorials may be directed to NorthStar Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
