JOANDELLE JUNE (LAMPRECHT) CIURLEO

Joandelle June (Lamprecht) Ciurleo, age 68, of Duluth, joined her loving family Monday, October 22, 2012.

Joandelle June (Lamprecht) Ciurleo, age 68, of Duluth, joined her loving family Monday, October 22, 2012.

She was born January 14, 1944 in Chisholm, Minnesota to John and Helen (Suomi) Lamprecht. Joanie was a 1962 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Virginia and completed her L.P.N., training in Duluth.

Joanie spent her life unselfishly caring for people. She started her nursing career at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth and retired at Chris Jensen Health Center. After retiring, Joanie was a St. Luke’s Hospice volunteer. She was a loving and caring mother, granny and friend.

Joanie was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Judy Lamprecht.

She is survived by her children, Sherri (Richard) Nelson of Superior, Michael John of Duluth and David (Michelle) of Duluth; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Callista, Michael Peter, Jessica, Javine, Mathius, Jariel and Nicholas; two great-grandchildren, Aniyah and Jace; her brother, John “Butch” Lamprecht of Palm Harbor, Fl; and her sister, Debbie Pekkarinen, of Virginia, Minn; the father of her children, Michael G. Ciurleo; close friend, Valerie; other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Luke’s I.C.U., and all the family and friends who supported them during this difficult time. Memorials may be made to Animal Allies in lieu of flowers. She will be missed by all who were touched by her loving and carefree spirit.

GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service Monday, October 29 in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue.
