Florence Lucille Jeannette, 93, formerly of Hunters Park, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in Diamond Willow’s Arbor Rose.

Florence Lucille Jeannette, 93, formerly of Hunters Park, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in Diamond Willow’s Arbor Rose.

She was born in Duluth on Dec. 3, 1918, to Andrew and Anna Olson. She was a 1936 graduate of Denfeld High School and attended the State Teachers College. Florence was an ad and commercial artist for department stores in Duluth and was advertising manager for Freimuth’s and Oreck’s. She was a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church and its Giving Forest Retreat Center. She enjoyed working with watercolors and leaves many wonderful pieces of art that she created over the years. Golf was a passion for Florence, playing at Ridgeview, Lester Park, getting a hole-in-one at Pike Lake and participating with the Senior Olympics.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Albert Olson; and three husbands, Gordon Martinson, Earl Bilger and Joe Jeannette Sr. Surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Pizzano of Florida and Vermont, and Merelyn Anderson of Palos Verdes, Calif.; a brother, Roger (Janet) Olson of Duluth; many stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The family thanks the staff at Diamond Willow-Arbor Rose for their wonderful care. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, in Lakeside Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Kari Jutila officiating. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
