Margaret S. Pickett, 91, former Bovey resident, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 in Evergreen Terrace, Grand Rapids.
Margaret S. Pickett, 91, former Bovey resident, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 in Evergreen Terrace, Grand Rapids.
She was born Feb. 23, 1921 in Bowman County, ND, she was the daughter of D. F. and Lillie B. (Faulkner) Adams.
Margaret was a home maker, had been a resident of the Snowball Lake and Bovey areas since 1951. Margaret and Mike Pickett were married on Aug. 5, 1942 in Ponsford Prairie, Minn.
Her parents; her husband, Mike in 1996; a son, Jerry in infancy; brothers, Earl, Elwin, and Kenny Adams; and sisters, Vera Lee and Grace Pickett preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Marilyn (Richard) LaDoux of Pengilly, LeRoy (Ruth Wirtanen) Pickett of Coleraine, Donald (Carol) Pickett of Pengilly, Mary Lou (Reinhard) Wohlsdorf of Cohasset, and Dariel (Donna) Pickett of Bovey; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and a brother, Cecil (Eleanora) Adams of Shell Lake, Minn.
VISITATION: 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Interment will be at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shell Lake, Minn. To leave an online condolence, go to petersonfuneralchapelofcoleraine.com.
