Eugene C. O’Brien, 82, of International Falls, died early Wednesday morning, Oct. 10, 2012.
Eugene C. O’Brien, 82, of International Falls, died early Wednesday morning, Oct. 10, 2012.
Gene was born April 10, 1930, to Raymond and Elina (Iverson) O’Brien.
He graduated from Falls High School in 1948 and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1954.
Gene was employed by Mando/Boise Cascade for 44 years and retired in 1992.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Victor, Verna, Floyd, Robert and John.
On June 3, 1961, Gene married Helen Devall, who survives, along with three sons, John (Lisa), William (Bethany) and Patrick (Hyunsook); and grandchildren, Arachi, Varick, Garrett and Jane. Also surviving are sisters, Ruth Jackson and Jeanette Squires.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Ranier Community Building. Memorials may be made to Falls Education Foundation, Backus, Koochiching County Historical Society or the Food Shelf.
