PETER J. RILEY

Peter J. Riley, 65, Bovey, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 in Duluth.

He was born in Germany, the son of Jennings and Helen Riley.

Peter immigrated to Coleraine, with his family, when he was seven years old. In ninth grade he moved to Babbitt where he graduated from high school. He then attended Bemidji State University where he obtained his Education degree. He taught math for the St. Cloud prison, at Royalton and at Silver Bay, Minn., where he also was a hockey coach. Following his career in teaching he became a salesman for Greg Larson Sports and currently was with Midwest Sportswear.

Peter had many loves including his first, being golf and then his partner Judy Mandich. He also enjoyed watching movies and sporting events on tv and hanging with his dog Scooter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a sister Heidi Sutherland; his partner Judy Mandich and his dog Scooter.
