Theresa H. Kroll, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side on Sept. 19, 2012 at Golden Oaks located in Proctor.

Theresa H. Kroll, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side on Sept. 19, 2012 at Golden Oaks located in Proctor.

She was born in Royalton, Minn., on Oct. 15, 1918 to John Schaefer and Mary Cekalla.

She lived in Wrenshall with her husband and four children before moving to Duluth, where she has resided for over 40 years, working at St. Mary’s Hospital and attending services as a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Theresa enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking, and most of all spending time with her family. She dedicated most of her life caring for her family, which is what brought her the most joy. She thought her greatest legacy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Theresa was a very selfless, strong-willed and hard-working woman who has touched the lives of those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas; her sons Larry and Ernest; her daughter Mary and beloved great-grandson Paul.

She is survived by her daughter Joana; her grandchildren Melodee, John, Sandy, Keith, Laura, David, Allen, Richie and Stephanie; siblings Lorraine, Geraldine and Richard and her daughter-in-law Nancy as well as her 11 great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. Friday Sept. 28, with the funeral to follow at 12 Noon both in Holy Family Catholic Church located 2430 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55806. Williams-Lobermeir Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements (624-1059).
