James Henry Manion of Lake Vermilion-Tower, Minn., passed away on Sept. 12.
Jim grew up in Pipestone and graduated from the U of M, School of Dentistry in 1963. He married Madeline Windschitl in 1965 and they made their home on the Iron Range where they raised their two children. Jim joined Dental Associates in Virginia in 1971 where he practiced dentistry until his retirement in 2003. Jim's interests included reading, cooking, gardening and socializing with his many friends.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Maggie; his daughter Maria of Minneapolis, Minn.; his son Michael of Crystal, Minn.; and his brother Michael J. Manion of Brainerd, Minn.
MEMORIALL MASS: 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 in St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tower. A Gathering time for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 am Memorial Mass. Sorry to read of the passing of a great guy- He was my Dentist for over 20 years until he retired-- We had some great conversations over the years. May the good memories last forever in the minds and hearts of those who knew him.Hibbing, MN 09/18/2012 11:53 PM
