RONALD WESLEY ANDERSON

Ronald Wesley Anderson, 87, of Duluth, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 in the home of his son Thomas Anderson in Chippewa Falls, Wis., surrounded by his wife and family.

Ronald Wesley Anderson, 87, of Duluth, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 in the home of his son Thomas Anderson in Chippewa Falls, Wis., surrounded by his wife and family.

Wes was born in Duluth Nov. 17, 1924 to Art and Emma Anderson.

Wes served in the Army in Hawaii and Okinawa during World War II. He married Ruth A Nelson on Aug. 16, 1947 and set up home in West Duluth. He worked at the Coolerator and then became a carpenter at the steel plant until the plant closed. He finished his working career at the City of Duluth as a carpenter and has many projects in the Duluth area which still stand.

Preceding him in death were parents Arthur and Emma; brothers Donald, Dwight and Paul; sisters Dorothy Erickson, Elaine Nelson, Arlene.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth of 65 years of marriage; sister Sandra Carlson; children Tom (Andrea) Chippewa Falls, Wis., David (Darlene) New Braumfels, Texas, Carol Shand (Mark) Vancouver, Wash., Roger (Sue) Hutchinson, Minn.; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 in Salem Covenant Church in West Duluth. Visitation 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the church.
