Susan H. McPhail, 67, formerly a resident of Cloquet and currently residing in Angel Fire, N.M. passed away tragically on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 in Cromwell.
Susan H. McPhail, 67, formerly a resident of Cloquet and currently residing in Angel Fire, N.M. passed away tragically on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 in Cromwell.
She was born June 26, 1945 in Cloquet to Gordon and Rosemary (Dupont) Allen.
Susan worked as a teacher for the Carlton School District for many years and was a member of P.E.O. She also loved hiking, swimming, snowshoeing, aerobics and fitness programs, and was a member of the Marino Valley Treckers in New Mexico.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by three children, Mark McPhail of Carlton, Pat McPhail of Burnsville, Minn., and Amy (Tony) Thompson of Carlton; her partner, Dave Anderson of Angel Fire, N.M.; six grandchildren, Phillip McPhail, Zachary Thompson, Cole Thompson, Madalyn McPhail, Ainsley McPhail, and Maia McPhail; one brother, Peter Allen of Henderson, Nev.; one step-brother, Ed (Wendy) Hamilton of McGregor; two sisters, Jenifer (Al) Behrens of Cloquet, and Elizabeth (Chris) Peterson of Grand Rapids; and numerous nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012 until the 2 p.m. funeral service in Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, followed with a time of fellowship. See the family online guest book at www.nelsonfuneralcare.net
