STEPHEN M. MCDONALD

Stephen M. McDonald 48, of Superior died Sunday Aug. 19, 2012 in Solvay Hospice house in Duluth after a long struggle with a Brain tumor.

He was born May 28, 1964 in Duluth to Eileen (Bishop) and Joseph McDonald and had been a Superior resident most of his life.

Stephen was employed by Essentia Health as a custodian.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family at the cabin. He was an avid Packer fan. He was a kind and caring man who was liked and loved by all who knew him.

Stephen is survived by his wife Janette; two sons Spencer and Mason; his mother Eileen McDonald of Superior; and a brother Patrick (Denise) McDonald of Superior.

He was preceded in death by his father Judge Joseph McDonald; and grandparents Roy and Grace Bishop and Joe and Corinne McDonald.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11 a.m. Friday in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. Fr James Tobolski as Celebrant. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. on Thursday in Downs Funeral Home 19th & Ogden with a Scripture service at 7 p.m. and will resume at the Church on Friday at 10. Interment will be at St. Francis Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Terry Bishop, Phil Bishop, Paul Bishop, Chris Bishop Mark Flahaven and Kevin Sweeney.
