JEAN CAROLYN WARK

Jean C. Wark, 83, of Culver, passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at Essentia Health Care Hospice with her family at her side.

Jean C. Wark, 83, of Culver, passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at Essentia Health Care Hospice with her family at her side.

She was born March 9, 1929 in Duluth, to Ole and Carolyn (Palusky) Moen and graduated from Hermantown High School.

Jean loved taking care of her husband and family, living at the lake, and all the family outings.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jerry Moen; and one sister, Kathleen Westerguard.

She is survived by her husband, Russell; three sons, David (Debbie) Wark of Proctor, Dan (Kelly) Wark of Duluth and Greg (CJ) Wark of Duluth; two daughters, Linda (Mark) Erkkila of Culver and Deanna (Tom) Smith of Duluth; one brother, Roger (Connie) Moen of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Dorothy (Harold) Kirpach of Prescott, Wis., Marlene (Dick) Slotness of Duluth, and Kathy (Bob) Johnson of Duluth; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

We will miss her sweet spirit. By example she taught us to pray, forgive and love. Thanks to all our family and friends for their faithful support.

VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 in Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. The visitation will resume on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service in the Swan Lake Road Baptist Church in Alborn. Interment services will be at the New Independence Cemetery, followed with a luncheon in the church social hall. The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet to assist them with arrangements. See the family online guest book at www.nelsonfuneralcare.net

Grandma i love you and miss you, all the shopping trips and watching you and lexi make all sorts of crazy things with the playdoh and blocks! Youll always be close to my heart love you always Ashley
