Margaret F. Ebert, 95, of Meadowlands, formally of Duluth, passed away peacefully Monday, July 16, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minn.
Margaret was born June 16, 1917 to Peter and Bertha Rasmussen in Grand Marias, Minn.
Margaret grew up in Croftville just north of Grand Marais, working with her family in the fishing business. She married Howard Ebert and raised 4 boys. She worked and loved to garden and plant flowers. She took great pride in her yard and loved living on Park Point. She loved to make things with her sister Charlotte. They would get together and create many wonderful things, one or the other had a project all the time. She was also a big Minnesota Twins fan and loved to watch golf.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Charlotte; brother, William; son, Howard; and daughter-in-law Ann.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Gerald (Ginny) of Phoenix, Airz.; Fran (Gloria) of Union City, Calif., Robert (Jean) of Henderson, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Margaret spent her last few years at The Hummingbird Assisted Living in Meadowlands. We want to thank Mike, Julie and staff for making her at home.
