BARBARA JEANNE (WELSH) CHAMBERS

Barbara Jeanne (Welsh) Chambers, 62, lifelong resident of Proctor, passed away after a lengthy illness, Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Essentia Health, with her loving husband at her side.

Barbara Jeanne (Welsh) Chambers, 62, lifelong resident of Proctor, passed away after a lengthy illness, Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Essentia Health, with her loving husband at her side.

She was born July 26, 1950 in Duluth, to William and Jeanne Welsh.

Barbara was a 1968 graduate of Proctor High School and attended St. Scholastica College. On March 26, 1977 Barbara married William L. Chambers.

Barbara loved aerobic dancing and taught line dancing. She was an avid puzzle fan and qualified for the U.S. Crossword Puzzle Championship, sponsored by Games Magazine.

Barbara also loved making jewelry. She was very proud of her Scottish heritage and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Welsh.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Bill; her son, Noel, of Columbia, Md.; two grandchildren, Alexis and Connor; twin brothers, Kevin (Arvilla) Welsh, of Carson City, Nev., and Kerry (Nancy) Welsh, of Proctor; her sister, Carolyn (Bill) Anderson, of Lake Nebagamon, Wis.; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Spirit Valley F.M.C. Dialysis Center, Essentia Health E.R., the Mayo Clinic and all who provided such dedicated and professional care throughout her illness.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Aug. 4, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 614 2nd Street, Proctor, The Rev. Mark A. Osthus officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota, 624-5200.

I want to say to the family how fondly I remember Barb even though it was many years ago. She was always very loving and kind toward me. God bless the family as you go through your grief. Bonnie (Matheson)

Bill, and Family... I am so happy that I got to know what a great Lady Baraba was.. I still have the little blue box she brought back for me from one of your trips.. I always think of her when ever I out my rings in it to keep safe. Thanks you Barbara for all the wonderful chats we've had. RIP Lady.. May God Bless You and your family..Lorrie
