Donald M. Snow, Sr., 90, passed away on Monday July 2, 2012 at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Donald M. Snow, Sr., 90, passed away on Monday July 2, 2012 at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Donald McLean Snow was born on Feb. 17, 1922 in Superior, Wis., the son of Noah and Agnes (Cherney) Snow.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Military Police during World War II. On July 17, 1943 he married the former Jean Craik in Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Superior. Don Retired from the Land O' Lakes Co Operative.
He was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Watertown and a former member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Superior. Don was a member of Watertown American Legion Post No.189.
Don loved to dance and he lived to listen to music. Following his retirement, Don and Jean traveled the entire United States in their trailer and 5th wheel. They loved the outdoors and spent many summers at the cabin on Lake Ahmeek in Iron River, Wis.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Christopher Snow; a great grandson Oliver Conant; his parents; four brothers and three sisters.
Don is survived by his wife Jean; their children Donald (Gloria) Snow, Jr. of Watertown, Ellen (James) Conant of Watertown and Mark (Liz) Snow of Superior; grandchildren Jason (Shannon) Snow, Jeremy (Jesse) Snow, Andrew (Cori) Conant, Paul (Careid) Conant, Matthew (Sarah) Conant and Jonathan Snow; six great grandchildren; a sister Grace Meintz of Minneapolis; a granddaughter in law Michelle Snow and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. Saturday in Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church 204 N. 10th Street Watertown with Pastor Terry Larson officiating. Family and friends may call on Saturday July 21, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church. Online condolences may be left at watertownwifuneralhome.com. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.
