Martha Davis Saxton, died July 6, 2012 in Duluth.
She was born Feb. 28, 1918 in Minneapolis to Edward Wilson and Jessie Campbell Davis.
Mrs. Saxton will be remembered by her family and friends as a woman of unusual courage, creativity, generosity, intelligence and independence. Her greatest joys were her family, travel and unconventional adventures, facing the challenges of life, and contributing to the world through teaching.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Homan Saxton; her sisters and her parents.
She is survived by her seven children and spouses; 14 grandchildren and spouses; and eight great-grandchildren.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. July 28, 2012 in St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Memorials in her name are preferred by the family to be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
