Bernice A. Oswell, 88, of Duluth, died peacefully Thursday June 28, 2012 in Essentia Health, St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
Bernice A. Oswell, 88, of Duluth, died peacefully Thursday June 28, 2012 in Essentia Health, St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
She was born in Duluth on Sept. 8, 1923.
Bernice graduated from Denfeld High School, and married Frank Oswell in Wahpeton, N.D. She had worked at Zenith Machine during World War II making bomb parts. Bernice also graduated from beauty school, made the best fudge, enjoyed gardening and collected agates.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Frank Oswell on Nov. 8, 1993; her parents Clarence and Eva Anderson; brothers Warner (Norma) and Chester (Marie) Anderson; and her granddaughter Jill Oswell.
Bernice is survived by her sons Dennis (Barb), Gary (Cheryl), and Steven (Rose) Oswell; her grandchildren Nita, Craig, Leslie, Elaine, Kirk, and Jake; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. Tuesday July 3, 2012 until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service in Sunrise Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunrise Memorial Park. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Home.
