EDWARD "FAST EDDIE" KLEJEWSKI

Edward, "Fast Eddie", Klejewski, 79, of Duluth, passed away at his home on June 25, 2012 after a short battle with cancer.

Edward, "Fast Eddie", Klejewski, 79, of Duluth, passed away at his home on June 25, 2012 after a short battle with cancer.

He was born in Duluth on Jan. 25, 1933 to Antionette and Frank Klejewski.

Ed graduated from Denfeld High School, joined the Army, worked at U.S. Steel where he retired. He also worked at Ribbon Distributing.

Ed was an avid baseball player for Sammy's Pizza and Legion Ball club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and camping with his beloved wife and friends for many years. Ed was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; granddaughter, Melissa Koosmann and sister-in-law, Joan Klejewski.

He is survived by his wife, of nearly 52 years, Shirley; sons, Scott (Julie) Klejewski and Steve (Penny) Klejewski; daughters, Sherri (Glenn) Koosmann, Sandy Klejewski, Susie (Dave Shogren) Lindbeck, Shawn (Jeff Schelin) Larva; brother, James Klejewski; nephew, Keith Klejewski; sister, Dorothy Krauley; brother-in-law Ronald (Jeanne) Martin; six grandchildren; and four great grandsons.

A very special thanks to the St Lukes Hospice for their loving care.

VISITATION: 3 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012, until the 4 p.m. memorial Service in the Cremation Society of MN, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth (218) 624-5200. Followed by dinner at Mr. D's, 5622 Grand Ave, Duluth.
